Proudly Supporting Women through
Pregnancy and Birth

“I do not care what kind of birth you have… a homebirth, scheduled cesarean, epidural hospital birth, or if you birth alone in the woods next to baby deer. I care that you had options, that you were supported in your choices, and that you were respected.”
January Harshe
A doula is defined as, "a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a mother before, during and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible."

Countless evidence-based studies have been performed to prove that having a doula greatly impacts a woman's birth in a positive way. With a doula chances of having a shorter labor increases by at least 20%. The rate of needing a Cesarean birth decreases by 28%. Medication to help manage pain or jump start labor also decreases. More women walk away feeling that their birth was a satisfying experience.

No matter what kind of birth you envision for yourself, a doula can be the person to help make sure you're given every option possible to make it happen.
